The Role Of A Lawyer When Claiming Long Term Disability Benefits From A Motor Vehicle Accident.

When you are injured, especially in a motor vehicle case, you really should get to a lawyer sooner rather than later because the motor vehicle insurance company requires you to report the accident within seven days.

All sorts of things begin to roll out as a result of that report and your own motor vehicle insurer, your accident benefit insurer, will be the one who will request from you any policies that you have for disability coverage.

They will then tell you to apply for your own disability coverage. Their coverage comes in second after your other insurers have covered your short and long term benefits. But you do need to get to a lawyer relatively early to make sure that it’s a fair process. And lawyers do make a difference because insurers know they will have a very difficult time cutting people off, if a lawyer is involved.
